The Arab World Institute has announced the finalists for this inaugural edition. The prize recognises designers for their talent, creativity and commitment. The categories are Emerging Talent, Innovative Talent and Accessories Talent.

This year, 125 entries were received from over ten countries, reflecting the diversity and vitality of the Arab fashion scene. The calibre of the submissions led to the creation of a third category dedicated to accessories.
The selection committee, comprising Yaffa Assouline, Youness Bouchida, Leyla Neri, Samira Ibrahim, Lotfi Aoulad, Majida Khattari, Iro Iwata and Philippe Castro, met on June 30 at the IMA to choose the 32 finalists from across the Arab world. The prizes cover the Emerging Talent, Innovative Talent and Accessories Talent categories.
The jury, made up of twelve figures from the worlds of fashion, culture and the media, including Pascal Morand, Ingie Chalhoub, Rabih Kayrouz, Manuel Arnaut, Sylvie Ebel, Olivier Saillard, Pascale Mussard and Milia Maroun, will select the winners. They will receive bespoke training at the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) and the opportunity to organise a fashion show or presentation of their collection at the Arab World Institute.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 8 at 7:30pm in the IMA’s High Council Room in Paris. The evening aims to highlight the work of designers and celebrate the richness of aesthetics and craftsmanship from the Arab world.
